Unleashing the Resources of God
Fundamental to all that we’re about is the unshakable conviction that God has outrageously resourced every believer.  

Believers are not in the process of becoming resourced, they are already permanently and abundantly resourced. Central to those resources is a new purity, a new identity, a new disposition, and a new power; all derived and sustained by Christ alone. Or, to put it another way, these are all different facets of what it means to have “Christ in you, the glorious hope” (Col. 1:27). These supernatural resources are the sole hope for living the kind of God-scented, Christ-exalting life we were created for. As we like to put it, handiwork worthy of the name of God can be produced only by God. Produced through us with our full dependence and cooperation.  

Far, far too many believers are tragically unaware of who they are in Christ and the extent of His provisions within them. It is impossible to appropriate what we don’t even know exists. One of the central ministries of Kindling for the Fire is to help believers understand in deep and meaningful ways the vast wealth of their divine resources, and to begin appropriating those same resources to the glory of the One Who gave them.

Within the people of God
There simply are no insignificant saints, no disposable believers, no unimportant children of God. Every genuine believer is the scene of resurrection power; a walking, breathing miracle.  

We don’t believe that Christians are becoming new creations, we believe that they already are. One of the reasons we chose the name Kindling for the Fire is that we assume there is an ever-present fire within every believer. And that our calling is not to try and create fire but simply provide kindling for the fire already there. Thus we seek to help God’s people understand in life-changing ways who they are in Christ, what they possess in Christ, and what the staggering possibilities are of a life yielded to and dependent upon His indwelling Personhood.  

For the purposes of God
God did not place His divine resources within us primarily to fix our lives but to further His name. In other words, every facet of our lives exists for His glory.  

At Kindling for the Fire we are passionate about helping believers join in the high adventure of seeing their entire life as a showcase for God’s glory. Every bit of it. In particular, we seek to help believers identify their unique sphere of influence and interact within that sphere in surprising ways. Ways that require the Spirit of God. Ways that go far beyond mere morality. Ways that at least temporarily disrupt people’s light view of God. Ways that genuinely glorify God and not merely draw attention to ourselves.
